Silent Friday: Robin Hood & The Mark of Zorro

"Robin Hood" (1912) is the second cinema adaptation of the legend ever made, after Percy Stow's 1908 feature "Robin Hood and His Merry Men", now lost. Directed by Étienne Arnaud and Herbert Blaché, and produced by Éclair Studios at the legendary Fort Lee, New Jersey. A restored copy of the 30-minute film exists and was exhibited in 2006 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The Mark of Zorro: A seemingly idiotic fop is really the courageous vigilante Zorro, who seeks to protect the oppressed.
